Tenancy
- User account and root level compartment.
- A localized geographic data center that comprises one or more Availability Domains.within a region, they are connected by a very low-latency, high-bandwidth network.
- Choose a region based on location. You want to be closest to your users.
- Many times you have data residency and compliance requirements.
- These are one or more fault-tolerant completely isolated data centers located within a region, but connected to each other by a low-latency, high-bandwidth network.
- ADs are isolated from each other, fault-tolerant, and very unlikely to fail together.
- Usually 3 ADs within a region
- Acts as a logical data center within an AD.
- A grouping of hardware and infrastructure within an availability domain to provide anti-affinity.
- Three FDs per AD.
- A collection of related resources helps to isolate and control access to resources.
- Compartments can be nested up to six levels
- Each resource belongs to a single compartment
- Resources can interact even when they are located in different compartments
- Resources can be moved from one compartment to another.
- Resources from different regions can be in the same compartment
- Can give a group of users access to compartment using policies
